Start at the top of The Downs at 11.30 397 reads more info (social) Annual walk to Reculver with lunch at the King Ethelbert Start: 11:30 End: 15:00 Hi Everyone Happy New Year to one and all. Just a reminder to you for the Annual walk along the cliff top to Reculver and then lunch with a much earned drink at the King Ethelbert. This walk is a great way of keeping in touch with other members through these winter months with no sailing. Cadets and children are all welcome and will enjoy the walk there with the possibility of a scavenge on the beach on the walk home. Even if you are not able to manage the walk then you can always drive there and join in with the meal and drink. 01 / 16 (event) Work Party 16th/17th January Start: 00:00 Start: 16/01/2010 - 00:00 End: 17/01/2010 - 23:59 Hi all, The re-vamp of the clubhouse is under way! As you know, we are planning to carry out some major works over this winter to extend the ladies' changing room and galley and refurbish the gear store. In addition, the lounge and corridors need a lick of paint and there are a number of other jobs that we need to do to get the clubhouse looking brighter and ready for the 2010 season. The next work party is scheduled for this weekend (from 10.00 on each day), and if you have even a couple of hours to spare, please come down and lend a hand - there are jobs for everyone, young and old, skilled and unskilled! If you can't make it this weekend, there are other work parties over the winter period (see the Christmas Splice for details), or please feel free to come down anytime and check out what work needs to be done from the list on the wall by the bar - just let us know what you would like to take on and we will supply the materials!
