Meet the Committee
The Honorary Secretary, Phil Rees, creates and sends out agendas and minutes for General Committee meetings, and handles most of the club correspondence, licenses and manages the hiring out of the Clubhouse.
The Rear Commodores David Hogben and Steve Lee traditionally carry the responsibility for the clubhouse and the infrastructure and manage to make sure that all the issues get dealt with by someone. So knowledge of the building trade, or skills at decorating, are absolutely not necessary!
The Rear Commodores (House) Lou Lomas and Toby Grundon are responsible for the Club Bar, making sure it is kept manned and stocked, deciding prices and so on.
The Cadet Coordinator Ben Gardener co-ordinates Cadet training and events.
The Health and Safety Officer Gillie-Anne Johnson is responsible for all matters pertaining to Health and Safety.
The Training Principal Clare Dunning, ensures the formalities of being an RYA training centre are met.
General Committee members: The above plus Laurie Dengate, Matt Hogben, Peter Gibson and Alistair Lindsay.
The Galley Coordinator organises the running of the Galley.
Sailing Committee members: Olaf Throndsen, Graham Harbord, Russell Kyte, Ian Moore, Doug Oliver, Luke Herlihy.

Development Committee members: Peter Gibson (chair), David Hogben, Steve Lee and Alistair Russell will be focussing on a number of short and medium projects as part of their longer term vision to upgrade the Reculver end of the Club.
Cadet Representatives Victoria and Doug are responsible for taking a lead in the Cadet section and liaising with club officials.
