Twelve boats have taken to the water for the first of this afternoon's races.  At the start of the race, the Lark and Laser 200875 had a very good start.  On the beat up to the first mark, the Laser and the Laser 2000 favoured a course out to sea.  Three Lasers have sailed further out and are sailing directly down to the first buoy.  The fleet seems to be in two sections almost like a cycle race, the Leaders and Pelaton.
The Lark appears to have taken an early lead but appearance can be deceptive and Laser 200875 is in the lead and the Lark in second place,  Laser 128320 has just been passed by the Laser 2000 21275 and since the helm and crew are sporting orange caps, I can only conclude that the Dyer Boys have borrowed the Laser 2000.  The leading Laser and the Lark have both been passed by the Laser 2000.
As the Laser 2000 approaches SP1,  it is still maintaining it's lead but the bevy of Lasers and the Lark have caught up as they head down toward SP2, first to round SP2 is the Laser 2000, then Laser 200875 then the Lark, Laser 208321 is close behind Laser 136230, Laser 172009 has sailed passed Laser 155886.
The Laser 2000 has extended it's lead once again, whilst the Lark and Laser 200875 do battle for second place.  As the boats are tacking up to E2, the Laser 2000 still has pole position  and yet again has extended that lead, the Lark has dropped back into fifth place.  Some of the Lasers are favouring a course further out as they sail toward E2 whilst those who have sailed a course further in do appear to have the advantage as they head up toward E2.
The battle for second place sees Laser 208321 in second place but Laser 20875 is challenging and has retaken second place,  Laser 138230 is in fourth place, the Laser 2000 has now raised the blue spinnaker and is off toward SP1.
As there are two races to be held this afternoon, the Race Officer has shortened the Race,  first boat to finish is the Comet Zero.  The Results will be worked out on the individual handicaps and the number of laps sailed.

Results
1st Laser 2000 21275 Michael and Samuel Dyer
2nd Laser 200875 Ben Skull
3rd Laser   208321 Graham Harbord

Race Two
At the start of the second Race it is down to 10 boats and with the exception of the Lark, the remainder of the fleet appear a wee bit line shy.  As the boats head up toward E2, the Laser 2000 has gone into an early lead ,  Lasers 20875, 172009, 208721, 140900 are in pursuit.
Whilst the Laser 2000 maintains its lead, the Lasers are catching up and the breeze appears to be increasing.  At the start of the second leg, it is still the Laser 2000 in the lead, then in this order Laser 200875, Laser Radials 172009 and 140900, then Lasers 138320, 208321 and 186804, then the Comet Zero and the Lark.
Sailing parallel with the coast the Laser appears to have gone into the lead but as the boats tack up to E2, the Laser 2000 has held on to it's lead and indeed is once again pulling way from the fleet, on rounding E2, the blue kite has been raised and they are off but the kite is not filling as well as it did on the previous leg,  Laser 200875 is still in second place but is making up some ground on the Laser 2000, Laser 172009 is in 3rd place.
In the meantime, the rest of the fleet have yet to round E2, two Lasers have now managed to get round E2, up at the front the Laser 2000 has rounded SP1 and heading down to SP2, the breeze has become quite flukey.  The Lark has retired from the second race.  The wind seems to have changed direction and this is having a dramatic effect on those boats try to round SP2.
The Race Officer has once again shortened the Race, first to finish is the Laser Radial 172009.

Results
1st Laser 2000 21275 Michael and Samuel Dyer
2nd Laser 200875 Ben Skull
3rd Laser Radial 172009
