I am trying hard to put a detailed blog together, I am starting to receive official pictures etc. so will hopefully post something very soon. However, I was anxious to say thank you to one and all who pitched or was thrown in sometimes at the deep end in for what what said to me by the Hornets Commodore to be " One of the best Hornets Championships ever" high praise indeed

I would like to list all the names because, considering the size of the membership, it is not that long a list, but you know who you are so please give yourselves a huge pat on the back.

I have not done the final figures but I can tell you between this and the Windsurfer event the nett profit is working out such that should be not run these in the future we would have to increase our membership fee by 10-15%. So in order to keep doing these events and thereby keep our membership fee as affordable as possible (remember all members benefit by this) we really need as many of the members as possible to help in the future. But more of that at the AGM.

So I just going to thanks the Teams generically:

The Magic Roundabout Committee Boat Team
The Safety Boats Squad
The Shore Posse
The Galley Team Morning, Noon and Night
The Sandwich Team
The you will never drink us dry Bar Team
And last but not least Charlotte and Sam for forever running to open the promenade gate.

It was great that we were able to enter four boats (thanks goes to Chris) and of course well done to the Dyer Boys for walking off with all that silverware, come on Chris/Alice, Tony/Laurie/Luke, Colin/Nathan time to step up.

So thanks again but more anon.
