During the weekend Hannah Golton and Ross Blackledge from Herne Bay Sailing Club represented Kent in the National Schools Sailing Association Championships at Oxford.

The first day saw wonderful sailing conditions and our local sailors did extremely well with Hannah obtaining two first places on day one in the Topper fleet.
Day two was a disappointment for all as the wind dropped and sailing was a bit of a lottery. Hannah gained 3rd place over all with Kent coming second to Worcestershire.
In the Laser 4.7 fleet young Ross Blackledge obtained two third positions and a 6th to be awarded 4th place overall.
Herne Bay Sailing Club is extremely proud of both these two youngsters and looking forward to them sailing back at base where there are a number of other cadets looking to emulate their success and give them some stiff competition on the water.
