Allan McNeil, Jim Ledger, James Woodward, Alex Benfield (all RYA Powerboat Instructors) will be running an introduction and improver session, on the 18th July, to cover HBSC safety boat handling techniques.
We will be assisted by a number of other club 'specialists'.
Numbers are limited to 15 club members and is a free of charge training event.
Where are the keys to the petrol store kept and what mixes of oil to use.
How to right a catamaran
How to put the safety boat back on the trolley in various sea conditions.
Cadets
Could we please also have some Cadets, sail a Catamaran, a Feva and a single hander, for the team to help rescue. (Cadets please volunteer and let Nathan Hudson know or use this contact form for more information)
I would like to say thank you to all that organised the training and practical for the safety boat improver session. and for all those that came down to the club. I for one found it informative and new and up to date information was learnt, even the little ditties from Martin I hadn't heard before. Also we must not forget Jo who looked after the galley and kept us in tea , toasties and sandwiches. Best of all the weather behaved with sun shining and enough wind to make the time on the water a bit more interesting.
