Club Championship - Change in Sailing Instructions

Beacuse of the level of lost races this season the Sailing Committee have amended the rules for the club championship.

7 from 34 at the time of the decision had been lost. Therefore the number of qualifying races has been reduced by 20%, rounded up. This means 9 scoring races rather than the original 12. In addition the Sailing Committee have removed the requirement to sail 15 races in order to qualify.

Club Champions

With one day of racing left in the club Championship The positions are:

Fast Fleet

Champion - John & James Bennett - 59er

No one can catch those Bennett Boys. The Race for second place is hotting up. Dai Griffiths & Tom hold the position but with the visionary Hogben Boys in hot pursuit. But can Maria and I make a late dash for the runners up spot?

Slow Fleet

Champion - Hannah Golton - Topper

Hannah not only has won but has an outside chance of taking second place with her Laser! The Race for second spot is equally tight. John Ormiston, Ross Blackledge and Phil Young all still have everying to play for, with John holding pole position at the moment.
