Hold your next championship event at Herne Bay Sailing Club
Herne Bay Sailing Club has a long history of hosting National and European Championships and Open events. We have been running successful events since at least 1957 and have hosted a wide variety of dinghy classes. Typical fleet sizes range from 25-80 boats these days and some very large fleets in the earlier days: more than 200 Fireflys in 1960 and 102 Albacores in 1985. We are based on the North Kent Coast just 50 minutes from the M25. We are a small club and you will be sure of a friendly welcome.

Quotes from previous events
Over 50 volunteers from Herne Bay SC contributed to an outstanding event which competitors hugely enjoyed both on and off the water. Hadron H2 class, 2021.
Please be sure to thank the whole team at Herne Bay Sailing Club for making us so welcome. UKWA chair, 2019.
The OK class cannot certainly cannot speak highly enough of the effort Herne Bay SC put in, be it launching the RIBs at 6:00am, the super efficient trolley service, that meals that were put on or the bar being kept stocked up to meet the fleet's needs. Karen Robertson, 2017.
Going to a small club has its advantages, the club was so accommodating and friendly, hope to return soon. Hornet class 2016.
The fleet were treated to the well practiced Herne Bay launching routine. Where else can you launch without getting your feet wet and without having to worry about taking the trolley back? Laser 2000 class, 2005.
